FAQs: Engagement

Frequently asked questions about my recent engagement

1. For real?
Yes, I am really engaged.

2. Can I tell people?
Yes, it is not a secret, feel free to tell anyone.

3. Are you happy?
I am very happy!

4. When is the big day?
We have yet to set a date. I promise when we do though, I will make it known.

5. What does your family think about the engagement?
They are happy and excited. Even Mitchell. They are full of questions themselves. I have a great family who is willing to support me in every decision.

6. Do you like his family?
I really do, they welcomed me in very quickly. They have a close family, like mine, and that makes me really happy.

7. Where do you plan on getting married?
Somewhere in Grantsville. We would like to do it outside as well.

8. How did you two meet?
We actually met online. I would like to point out that it wasn't a cheesy dating sight either. He sent me a message asking if i was willing to chat. I said yes, I never tell anyone no. We talked most of the day, then he asked for my number so we could text cause, he wouldn't be online for about another week. (uha, sure...) I gave it to him and we have been texting pretty much non stop sense. He kept asking if he could call so we could talk for real, but i hate talking on the phone so i said no. One day, while talking about our talents he informed me that he was a good singer, and that he had to call and prove it. Not feeling like i could turn that down he called me and sang U2 'Beautiful Day', and also got in as much of a phone call as possible.
The first time we met in person however was our first date. We had talked about movies we enjoyed and he said 'The Butterfly Effect' was his favorite movie and i said i hadn't seen it before, so we set up a time for him to come out so we could watch it. He ended up forgetting the movie though, so we rented one from redbox that was extremely boring. We both ended up sleeping through most of it. We also had our first kiss that day, thanks to me. i could tell he wanted to, but every time he would try he would chicken out half way through, so i just kissed him, which took us both totally by surprise.

9. How long have you been dating?
Well we talked about it and made it official around the middle of January, but we both considered us a couple sense our first date on January 3rd 2011.

10. How did he ask?
We have this thing where we ask each other what the other is thinking randomly. We have made it a big deal to respond and to respond truthfully. Sunday night we were talking and came to a lull, so i asked him what he was thinking. He started laughing, and said he couldn't tell me right now, and that he couldn't even tell me why he couldn't tell me now cause that would give it away, but that he promised he would tell me someday and that he would point it out that it was what he was thinking about. I said alright, and we both continued contemplating the situation. Pretty soon he started looking around his room, and said, well maybe i can tell you now. He found something and stuck it in his pocket, got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. I gave him a smile and a quick peck. He then asked, 'Whitney, Will you marry me?' I kissed him again, and replied, 'Yes, nothing would make me happier!'

11. What does the ring look like?
It is green, with silver oval like things. I love it! We happened to had earned it together from a nickelcaid knock off on a previous date.

12. What is he like?
His name is Quint. He is 22. He lives in Lehi. He works in costumer assistance for Elite security. He is a third child, has two sisters and a brother. He recently became an uncle. I love him.
He is very creative. He can fix or make anything. He cares about me, listens to what i say, makes sure he understands, and asks me questions. He works hard at remembering all my friends and family, and takes time to spend time with them. He opens my doors. He has red hair and drives a truck. He teaches me things. He never makes me feel stupid. He is perfect for me.

Coconuts, mushrooms, and cupcakes.

Sorine was complaining about how she follows me, but i don't put any posts up. So i told her if she gave me a topic i would make another one.
Julia earlier, had randomly said "coconuts, mushrooms, and cupcakes!" so thats what they decided to assign to me. This will be the best post ever! (total sarcasm.)

Guess I'll start with coconuts. I have never had a real actual coconut. Just those scrapings of them. I like coconut. Unless it gets hard and scrapes my mouth. My dad hates coconut, which has always been funny to me because he will eat pretty much anything.

Mushrooms are disgusting. The taste and the thought of them. i realize some people like them, but don't understand why.
Side note- Last night at family dinner Mitchell said he would rather eat dog poop over something, can't remember what. (I'm great at telling stories!) Quint said he should try the mushrooms then. Cause they are basically the same thing. See-Why would you like them?

Who doesn't like cupcakes? There are so many types, you just can't not like one. Cupcakes remind my of my sisters and their 'fat and happy' bakery. and the cooking channel show cupcake war (or something like that). It is really intense, and i admit to watching it, multiple times.

if there is any other random food, or anything else you would like my random opinions on let me know. Sorine would appreciate it, i'm sure.

Love you all!

Things I want. Things I have. Things I never want.

I know, what a selfish way to start of my postings, but hey, I am not posting these for anyone else really, but for me, so no harm. That being said feel no need to continue reading, either with this post, or any others i happen to put up. They will be a lot of, well, blabber. I didn't get the blog to share my thoughts as much as to use it to find yours. However, if you want to keep reading, go for it, and please try to enjoy.
